NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Board of School Trustees of the Northern Wells Community Schools, 312 N Jefferson Street, PO Box 386, Ossian, IN 46777, will receive bids on the purchase of the following:
3 - 72 passenger Conventional School Buses
NWCS reserves the right to purchase any number or all of the buses above.
Both the body and the chassis shall be equipped to conform to all laws and regulations of the State of Indiana and all Federal Regulatory Agencies.
Bids will be received at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 312 North Jefferson Street, Ossian IN 46777, until 1:00 PM EST, December 18th, 2008. Any bids received after the above stated time will be returned unopened.
Complete specifications are on file at the Office of the Superintendent. Bids shall list separately the trade-in price of the vehicles listed in the specifications. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to examine the trade-in vehicles and to determine their condition prior to bidding.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, or certified, or cashier’s check for not less than 5 percent of the total price. All bids must be sealed and stamped “School Bus Bid". All bids shall be submitted on forms prescribed by the State Board of Accounts.
The Board of School Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to change the number of buses purchased or traded. NWCS will NOT trade more buses than they acquire; however they may trade less.
